Night's wild
torrents of silence
strip you bare-
naught but truth to gird against the light....
but you shed that long ago.
and in darkness
you wait frightened,
and alone-
for your eyes are closed
to me,
sitting
beside you.
but I stay,
nearly blinded
by the light
burning
within you.
if only
you knew
what splendor I see.
if only
you could see
the wonder in you.
