old fears

the seasons of life
and love flood
the soul.

walking
tip-
toed

i see
giants
bowing
to Gnats.
or is it
the future
through

i so carefully
tread?
or perhaps

destiny,

dread?
i burn
in the cool shadow of your pines.
inflamed with desire
i kneel
in awe
of
your grace.
and then
i go,
i walk
away.
until i need you
again.
slip
into
the
younger you.
and
sip
on

bitter brew.
feel
strengthened

born anew
slip

wiser you
Bright Shining Sun
hides
the shadows
of yesterday,
and I fear
the return of that sunny joy.

shifting
obstacles
to

failure

touch
that magic
which burns

deep inside.

nights

the end
of seeking.

share
my universe,
to all
who can
see.

that moment
it begins

wonder,
surprise,

wait patiently
in beautiful
love-filled eyes.

quaver
