anonymity masquerading as solitude.
fear,
tiptoeing
on hope’s serrated edge.
and we
drown
in a flood of famished desire.
decadent
in our deprivation.
anonymity masquerading as solitude.
fear,
tiptoeing
on hope’s serrated edge.
and we
drown
in a flood of famished desire.
decadent
in our deprivation.
ringing out
in the silent corners of my soul:
a joyous cacophony of love
and pain.
mothers call
and fathers cry….
over a future turned inside out.
looking back
across the storm
we must not fear.
we must not fail.
we sail upon
their very tears…
we must not fail
we must not fear
let us,
together,
take our struggles
and our hate,
and our fear….
let us bond these pieces
with love’s joy.
let us make our fathers
and
our mothers proud,
let us, together,
put them to rest
in peace
we must not fear.
howling
in the midnight wind.
pleading
for me to live.
who
have i become?
beg dry
and frightened eyes.
where
am
I?
i accept the sins of my past
which boil in my blood.
why won’t you feel history’s pain,
which taints yours.
dont you
want,
to be free?
fresh
and new.
tested and
true.
the future
awaits no one,
but you.
time fails
the uninitiated,
drowning young souls
in longing,
and want.
where are your
shiny scars
bearing lessons
ne’er forgotten?
where are your hopes,
but swinging strangely
like black fruit
in the empty breeze?
come lay your head
on this bed of ash feathers
and arise again;
remember
fearlessness.
come give yourself
unto your birthright,
come dance within my flame.
never quench
your rightful desire,
come learn your true name.
come,
and rise
again.
there
are not enough
words
to set me free.
and so I
remain
imprisoned
by a love
long forsaken,
but never
forgotten.
hunting truth
boldly and
without fear:
a fool’s quest
for
the uninitiated;
redemption perhaps,
for
the heartless lovers;
and Home,
for
the lost and broken.
moss laden forests
hide wanderer
memories
and lovers’ stolen
moments.
lost in that realm
of dream and wonder,
we dance
under an
eternal moon rise.
then kneel before
our fires divine.
as this day,
hallowed
and
ephemeral,
slips
noiselessly through
the veil of time
Bright Shining Sun
hides
the shadows
of yesterday,
and I fear
the return of that sunny joy.
in the darkness
i know
where the danger lurks:
(where I cannot see)
but now,
ensconced all in gold.
I no longer
can run
from that
grandness in
me
drifting
above
below
and,
in between,
you wait
for me.
hidden
under sun
&
stars,
&
baobab,
you pray
for me.
your
hands
yearn
for
me.
and I,
I too
yearn
for me.
but i hear
peals of laughter
ghosting
from the mist,
and we
both
are
missed,
again.
don’t run.
or you will always be
alone.
hide,
for a time,
and you will mourn,
alone.
waiting
with open
hand.
please come back
to us:
me&you…
you&me…
WE.
let us reunite
and be whole
like before.
WE
are the love
for which
you hunt.
WE
are
all we will ever need.
so,
come back, my
beloved,
let us feel
this silent stillness
together.
a
first step.
a
deep breath.
a
tiny tremor
of delight.
faintly tangled
up
in
questioning webs
of fear.
until
we embrace
the
chaos
of Her design.
who knew
each kick
or
tumble,
or
exchanged bliss,
would
take you
here,
to where you need
to be?
who knew?
